New Delhi – In a heart-wrenching case, a 5-year-old girl was strangled to death by her mother in Delhi's Ashok Vihar area after a failed marriage proposal. The incident, reported by Deepchand Hospital, has left the community reeling in shock.

Upon investigation, police found strangulation marks on the child and brought the mother in for questioning. She eventually confessed to the crime, citing personal struggles and rejection by her partner’s family as the driving factors behind the act.

The investigation revealed that the mother’s first husband had abandoned her, and she had moved to Delhi to marry a man she met on Instagram.
